Meet the team

Aaron Ramos

At age 11, Aaron started training martial arts to gain confidence after being bullied at school by his peers. By age 17 he switched disciplines to Muay Thai, had and won his first competition, and then travelled to Thailand for the first time in order to train more seriously.

Over the last 16 years, Aaron has dedicated the majority of his adult life to the pursuit of athletic and mental performance in the Muay Thai. In that time he has trained two champions, run a team of fighters, competed in four separate disciplines himself over hundreds of combined matches.

He travels each year to Thailand in order to supplement his knowledge, always eager to take on new skills and training techniques. Notably, he has trained under fourteen time world champ Petchboonchu F.A. Group and Nontachai Sit-O, specialising in clinch training during his time with them.

As a coach, Aaron is results oriented and patient, currently managing a stable of over twenty active fighters. As well as his professional aspirations, training beginners and introducing them to the sport is one of his favourite parts of the job.

Tyler Hogan Muay Thai Coach

Tyler “Hurricane” Hogan

Starting Muay Thai when he was just fifteen years of age as a birthday present in 2016, Tyler has since amassed a professional record of 10-5 in the ring, most recently competing as a stadium fighter in Thailand.

In his own words, his initial motivation was to boost his confidence, face his own fears and learn how to stand up for himself. His first exposure to professional fighting was like most young men his age, through watching fights online. Seeing slim, wiry and undersized fighters win through skill and athleticism pushed him to seek out a gym of his own to train at.

As a coach, Tyler is passionate, dedicated and technical. He applies a detailed approach to training and has a number of skilled students already under his belt.

Romain “The Rooster” Gibert

Romain started Muay Thai in 2018 after a full life reset. A difficult series of events led him to pursue martial arts passionately as a way of meeting friends, challenging himself and having fun.

He is now a current ISKA champion, having won the title at the end of 2022 after taking the match on only a few weeks notice.

His coaching style is playful and fun, and his enthusiasm for the game is second to none.

Truly a team player, Romain cites his favourite memory so far as our first team trip out to eat after a night of fights. Sharing four desserts with his training partner stands out to him, and is a good analogy for his style. He is generous, friendly, and gives his all when it comes to developing his students.

Jenny “Thunder” Phung

Having originally started with MMA in her hometown of Melbourne, Australia, Jenny made the transition to Muay Thai under coach Aaron in 2017. In that time, she has represented the team on numerous occasions, and recently transitioned to a professional level in the sport.

Jenny’s style of teaching is a paradox. She is widely seen as approachable and has a lot of patience for our beginners, instilling confidence in everyone who participates in her sessions, at their own pace. But, if you give her the chance, she also has a reputation for putting on some of the most savage workouts our timetable has to offer.

In any case, everyone leaves her classes with a big smile on their face, a new set of skills, and a lot less sweat in their body.
